Quincy Senior High School

Blue Devil Boys Soccer

Dear Blue Devil Soccer Alumni,

As many of you have heard, I have again accepted the Head Coaching position for the Quincy Senior High Blue Devil Boy’s Soccer program.  I am extremely excited to be back in this position, and my staff and I are working hard to get things going.  We are essentially four months behind due to my late-in-the-year hiring, but anxiously looking forward to getting the Blue Devil Soccer program back to the State’s elite level.

Since I left the soccer program, many obstacles have been placed in front of us and some areas that need to be addressed.  Within the last two years, we have lost one district-paid coaching position and our entire supply budget.  Our travel expenses have been reduced as well.  It has been the responsibility of the Boys Soccer Booster Club to raise the money to offset the expenses, such as supplies (soccer balls, uniforms, warm-ups, etc.) charter bus expenses and pay of out Freshman-Sophomore coach.  The Booster Club is doing all that it can, but it is just not enough.  We are in desperate need of new uniforms and warm-ups throughout the program and need to raise as much as we can.

The 2004 Soccer season will be remembering 30 years of Blue Devil Soccer.  We are reaching out to all QHS Blue Devil Soccer alumni for help in getting our program back to the level it was in previous years.  We are looking for sponsors for our soccer program in order to help us obtain new uniforms and warm-ups and assist with other expenses.  We are reaching out to our alumni to help us get the things that we need and to do our best to get the QHS soccer alumni back to being a major part of the program.  We have set up various levels for donation, and are hoping everyone can give something.  We want t start off fresh and make our 30 years of soccer something to remember.  We are in the initial phase of developing a poster that will focus not only on this year’s team, but will also feature pictures of all 30 teams as a border.  Every person who donates will receive a program and commemorative poster recognizing our 30 years of soccer.  Below are the donation levels, however, we will accept any amount you can give.  This will appear in our program, which will be given out at all the home games.  We will send you a copy  of the program when it is complete.  Also. If you would like to take out an ad in our program for your business, please contact me about this as well and I will give you more details.

Thank you in advance for all of your help in making QHS Blue Devil Soccer a great tradition.
